Objectives: At the end of this exercise you shall be able to
• mark GI tagging
• labeling GI
• verifying GI

Requirements

Materials
• Pashmina Shawl with GI tag
PROCEDURE
Step 1: Marking GI

1 If the shawl is perfect as per criteria , it is awarded a
unique GI tagging. (Fig 1)

Step 3: Verifying GI
1 Each GI tag contains a non copy able numerical code,
which can be verified online to confirm the product
authenticity.
Step 2: Labelling GI
2 Buyers can cross check the GI number.
1 This mark represents a marl of authenticity
andprotection against counterfeits. (Fig 2)
